“…We know this gift has the potential to save lives.” PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL — (Oct 17, 2017) The Johns Creek Fire Department and the City of Johns Creek (GA) community have received a $3200 donation from the Valmark Global Gift Fund. The donation has enabled the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation to expand cardiopulmonary resuscitation / automated external defibrillator training classes in the City of Johns Creek through the purchase of an additional 49 CPR/AED training and practice manikins. Steve Broadbent is Chairman of the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation, Johns Creek Mayor Pro-Tem and Managing Director at Fulcrum Partners Atlanta, a nationwide executive benefits advisory that has been a member of Valmark Financial Group since 2011. Broadbent observed, “While the Johns Creek Fire Department has offered quarterly CPR/AED classes for many years, the limited number of training manikins has meant restricted class sizes. The generous donation made possible by Valmark Financial Group, through the Valmark Global Gift Fund, allows the Fire Department to train more than twice as many people in each class. “The new manikins also meet the new American Heart Association requirement for audio feedback from the manikins due for implementation in 2019. More than two years have passed since the Fulcrum Partners team united with Arise Rwanda, working toward the objective of building a vocational school in Boneza. During this time, members of the Fulcrum Partners executive team have gone to Rwanda to contribute their time and talents firsthand and collectively, Fulcrum Partners has donated more than $20,000 through the Valmark Global Gift Fund. Their purpose has been to facilitate the dream of John B. Gasangwa, founder of Arise Rwanda Ministries, and help make Kivu Hills Academy a reality. As you watch this short video, and see Phase I of Kivu Hills Academy vocational school in Boneza, Rwanda sitting on the crest of the hillside, remember that only a short time ago this was undeveloped land, inaccessible by roads, and with no access to utilities. More amazingly, much of the design, development, and construction of the facility can be credited to the school’s first class of students, who have literally been learning as they go. You can read

Fulcrum Partners Helps Build a School in Rwanda John Gasangwa was a five-year-old child during the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. His family, forced from their home, took refuge in a Ugandan camp. John explained, “During the Genocide, Rwanda was DARK … After the Genocide Rwanda chose to have hope and continue the process of healing, unity, and reconciliation and focusing on building a reconciled Rwanda with self-reliance for Rwanda.” Today, John is a leader in helping Rwanda rebuild and heal. After earning a degree in Economics and Business Management from the Université Nationale du Rwanda and an MBA in Global Social Sustainable Enterprise from Colorado State University, John established ARM—Arise Rwanda Ministries. Founded with a mission to bring education, clean water, and community development to the impoverished city of Boneza, Rwanda, Arise Rwanda is making a difference. Fulcrum Partners, with a donation of $10,000 for the construction of a secondary school in Boneza, is helping to make this meaningful change possible. Among the many significant accomplishments of Arise Rwanda Ministries are: Eight water wells drilled to provide clean water to villagers with one of the wells further mechanized for expanded water distribution to additional families. A 10,000-gallon water catchment system
