The team at Fulcrum Partners wishes you and your family a safe, happy start to your summer over the long Memorial Day weekend.
Here’s a few Memorial Day facts you may not know.
- Every year at 3:00 PM local time on Memorial Day is designated as a National Moment of Remembrance.
- Memorial Day was not officially a U.S. federal holiday until 1971.
- Waterloo, New York is officially recognized as the “birthplace” of Memorial Day, however, more than twenty U.S. towns still claim that their community is the actual birthplace of the holiday.
- If you fly the American flag, protocol is for the flag to be flown at half-staff until noon.
How ever you choose to celebrate, we hope you and those you love enjoy your weekend, while taking a few moments to honor America’s fallen military heroes.
